Almost nine years ago, Pink
Floyd played their last series of shows in The Netherlands. On 3,4, and
5 September 1994 the city of Rotterdam was in awe of a series of three
shows. Although all shows were recorded (and even shot on video),
only the 4th of September has been commonly in circulation on a roio
called ´Softly Spoken Magic Spell´.
To celebrate this 9th
anniversary I´ve taken upon me the task to improve these
recordings of the 3rd (regular show) and the 5th (DarkSideOfTheMoon
show). Both shows are from a 1st gen copy of the original tape and will
now be made available for weeding (see the weed offers on the FloydLive
Yahoo group).
The recordings are very good,
not outstanding, but certainly up to standards for the early
nineties. Both recordings are processed from a 1ste generation
tape (from the original taper), sound improved (using CoolEdit) and
editted into separate tracks. The sound improvement featured things
like amplifying, declicking, FFT, manual editing and such. NO
de-hissing or noise reduction has been done
since that usually brings down the sound spectrum.

removed. - On the tape, there was some
lack of treble from ´Great Gig´ until halfway through
´Money´. An attempt has been made to improve that, but
it is still notable. - At ´Run Like
Hell´ Guy Pratt sings ´...gonna send you back to HOLLAND in
a cardboard box´
