* THE COMMITTEE

1966(?)     0.3TAPE(?gen)     7.5     Soundtrack

Part of the film with music by Floyd (about 15 minutes). The recording is taped from the movie itself, so the actors can be heard on front, with the music in the background. Also to be found on the rarities tapes.

* BBC LOOK OF THE WEEK

14may67     0.3TAPE(2gen)     7.5     BBC

10 minute recording from the ' Magnesium Proverbs ' CD. A snippet of 'Pow R Toc h' and full versions of 'Astronomy Domine' (Introduced by 'serious' musician Hans Keller) and 'Interstellar Overdrive'. It is argued that 'Interstellar' is not from May but rather from 20jan1967.

Tracks:
Pow R Toc H / Astronomy Domine / Interstellar Overdrive / Interview (Paul McCartney?)

* MYSTERY TRACKS

11sep67     0.5TAPE(2gen)     6     Starclub, Copenhagen, Denmark

Complete show. Suprisingly nice recording for something of this age (Although the vocals are almost inaudible). This recording is noteworthy for some rare songs like 'Reaction In G' and 'One In A Million'.

Tracks:
Reaction In G / Arnold Layne / One In A Million / Mathilda Mother / Scream Thy Last Scream / Astronomy Domine

* THE LIVE PINK FLOYD (1967)

13nov67     0.5TAPE(2gen)     6     Oude Ahoy Hallen, Rotterdam

Complete show from the Hippy-Happy fair. (For a long time thought of as being on the 12th, but only recently discovered to be from the 13th). One of the last performances with Syd Barret. Vocals are a bit inaudible, but it is a historic recording. Speedy version of 'Set The Controls...' and rare performance of 'Reaction In G'. Tracks:
Reaction In G / Pow R Toc H / Old Woman In A Casket / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Interstellar Overdrive

* A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS (Mono edition)

1968        CD         9.5         Studio

The mono edition of the studio album. As a bonus there are the (mono) early singles and a different mix of 'Jugband Blues'.

Tracks:
Let There Be More Light / Remember A Day / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Corporal Clegg / A Saucerful Of Secrets / See-Saw / Jugband Blues / It Would Be So Nice / Julia Dream / Point Me At the Sky / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Jugband Blues (alt. mix)..

* FOUNTAINS OF ROMA

19apr68     0.5TAPE(?gen)     7     Piper club, Rome

Date is dubious (to say the least). Most likely 'Scream Thy Last Scream' and 'Astronomy' are from Rotterdam 67 and 'Interstellar'  is from the Pop festival held on 4-7 may 1968 (see below). The rest I don't know, although 'Let There Be More Light' could be from the may68 gigs.
Certainly not  all songs are from Rome..

Tracks:
Scream Thy Last Scream / Astronomy Domine / Interstellar Overdrive / Let There Be More Light / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* ROME (68)

6may68    0.5TAPE(1gen)         9.5       International  Pop Festival, Palazzo Del Sports, Rome

Taken directly from radio. The dutch station VPRO had this broadcast (again) on 29apr1998. The sound is of course the best available although it's obvious an old recording (and mono).
From a dutch music magazine from 1968, it's known that this recording is indeed from 6may68 (and not 5may as some sources indicate) and the venue was the Pallazzo Del Sport and not the Piper club.
The festival was held at the Pallazo but moved to the Piper club the last day. However Floyd had played before that, so at the Pallazzo.

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Interview with Roger Waters / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* PARADISO (early show)

23may68    0.5TAPE(?gen)     6     Paradiso, Amsterdam

One of the more confusing dates.
Floyd played 23may68 two shows at Paradiso. Several tapes however are labelled with dates like  30apr, 31may, 2jun, 31aug and 1sep. Venue names as Paradiso and Fantasio are mentioned.
However, ALL of these come from one of the two shows at 23may at Paradiso.
From my personal research (through dutch papers e.g.) I found out that the band never (ever!) played at Fantasio, so that venue is definitely wrong.
Furthermore, floyd was scheduled to play 30apr at Paradiso and they were present at that date, but .... they didn't play! Dave (or Roger, reports on this differ) did make an announcement that they could not play due to a lack of working permit. That story I could verify from a newspaper and a book on 25 years of Paradiso where it was indeed mentioned Floyd weren't allowed to play because the unions objected to a working permit.
The 30apr show was rescheduled to 23may. At that day they played two shows. This tape is from the first one.
See also the 'Amsterdam 68' CD's below.

Tracks:
Let There Be more Light / Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* PARADISO (late show)

23may68(?)     TAPE(?gen)     6     Paradiso, Amsterdam

See comment above at the 'early show'.
This tape was labelled as '31 may Fantasio' but is in fact the 23may, late show.

As with these old recording, the sound isn't great, but just about listenable. The set list however is quite interesting. 'Keep Smiling People' is a very early version of 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' and also 'Flaming' wasn't played that often.
See also the 'Amsterdam 68' CD's below.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Keep Smiling People / Let There Be More Light
Side 2:
Set The controls For The Heart Of The sun / Flaming / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* THE LIVE PINK FLOYD (1968)

23may68     0.5TAPE(1gen)     6     Paradiso, Amsterdam

This is a compilation of the two shows at 23may.
'Keep Smiling People' and 'Flaming' are from the late show. 'Let There Be More Light' and 'Interstellar Overdrive' are from the early show (see both Paradiso tapes mentioned above). Don't trust the roio-database on thsi one.
See also the 'Amsterdam 68' below.

Tracks:
Keep Smiling People / Flaming / Let There Be More Light / Interstellar Overdrive

* AMSTERDAM 68

23may68 / 6may68     2CD(r)    7.5    Paradiso, Amsterdam

The version of the two shows from this date as released by the Laughing Madcaps list. Fillers were wrongly dated at the list. Here below are the correct ones.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Early Show: Let There Be More Light / Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Filler: 6may68: Astronomy Domine / Roger Waters Interview / Set The Controls
CD 2:
Late Show: Keep Smiling People / Let There Be More Light / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Flaming / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Filler: 6may68 :Interstellar Overdrive / Astronomy Domine
21sep68: Let There Be More Light
More mixes: Main Theme / Cymbaline / Seabirds

* AMSTERDAM 68

23may68     2CD(r)    7.5    Paradiso, Amsterdam

The final version of the two shows from this date (for some more background the entries above).
This comes from the original master tapes and is not only the best sounding one, but also the most complete one. No cuts and a bit more chatting then any of the above.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Early Show: Let There Be More Light / Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets
CD 2:
Late Show: Keep Smiling People / Let There Be More Light / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Flaming / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* UTRECHT (1968)

28dec68     .5TAPE(?gen)     6     Magriet Hal, Utrecht, NL

A low level and distant recording with quite some hiss. This results in hardly audible vocals. Complete show though. Nice jamming on 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene'.

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOON VOL.1

'68-71     TAPE(1gen)     7.5     BBC

Collection of BBC sessions. Some better sounding versions can be found elsewhere though. e.g. on 'One of These Days'. This one is recorded at a little low sound level.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Embryo / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Let There Be More Light / Murderistic Woman / Point Me At The Sky / The Narrow Way / Julia Dream
Side 2:
A Saucerful Of Secrets / One Of These Days / Echoes

* CHESTERFIELD (69)

27mar69     CD         6         St. James Hall, Chesterfield

Complete show with interesting musical twists, but the sound is only so-so. This is the MoLM release.

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Beset By Creatures Of The Deep / Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Control For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful of Secrets

* LONDON (69)

14apr69    TAPE(?gen)    6      Royal Festival Hall, London

A complete man and journey performance. Used to be a rare tape but has now been released on the famous HARVESTED label as a 'mystery millennium weed' (see below)

Tracks:
Side 1:
The Man
Side 2:
The Journey / Interstellar Overdrive

* THE MASSED GADGETS OF AUXIMENES (69)

14apr69    2CD(r)      6.5    Royal Festival Hall, London

A complete man and journey performance released on the famous HARVESTED label. The original tape wasn't good to begin with but the people at harvested at least managed to improve it a little bit. This one also goes by the name of "Mystery Millennium Weed".

Tracks:
Side 1:
The Man: Daybreak, pt.1 / Work / Afternoon / Doing It / Sleeping / Daybreak, pt.2
Side 2:
The Journey: The Beginning / Best By Creatures Of The Deep / The Narrow Way / The Pink  / Jungle / The Labyrinths Of Auximenes / Behold The Temple Of Light / The End Of The Beginning /
Encore: Interstellar Overdrive

* SOUTHAMPTON (1969)

9may69     TAPE(?gen)     7     Southampton University, UK

As far as I know this contains a complete show. Concerning the age in not too bad sound quality. Some tapes of this show have a cut version of 'Saucer' on them. This one, too. but I have another tape with an uncut 'Saucer' but also in a bit lesser sound quality.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Beset By Creatures Of The Deep / Interstellar Overdrive / The Beginning / A Saucerful of Secrets (cuts)
Side 2:
A Saucerful of Secrets
Filler: Osaka, 9aug71: Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun

* BELFAST (1969 - Bogus!)

10jun69     0.5TAPE(?gen)     6.5     Ulster Hall, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Date and place of this tape is dubious (to say the least). Alledgy, no tape of this show is suppose to exist.
'Careful With That Axe' and 'Saucerful Of Secrets' are a direct rip off from Ummugumma. The other two songs are from the 8aug69 Plumpton show (see below).
Anyway this tape certainly is NOT from Belfast!

Tracks:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun /  Green Is The Colour

* MANCHESTER (1969)

22jun69     TAPE(?gen)     5      Free Trade Hall, Manchester, UK

One of the few occasions where they played the concept piece 'The Man And The Journey'. Unfortunately this tape is pretty poor. The sound is distorted at time and there are cuts all over the place (in the most inconvenient places). It does however contain a few snippets from Nick's drum solo, the wood chopping sound during 'work'.

Tracks:
Side 1:
The Man
Side 2:
The Journey / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* THE MAN AND THE JOURNEY (LONDON)

26jun69     TAPE(?gen)     7.5     Royal Albert Hall, Southbank, London, UK

Long thought of as being the Premier of the man and journey concept piece and the debut of the famous azimuth coordinator dated on 14apr69 at the Royal FESTIVAL hall. But, recent discoveries showed this tape to be from 26jun at the royal ALBERT hall.
I have no less then three copies of this show. The best sounding however misses the encore, but I do have that only in lesser sound.

Tracks:
Side 1:
The Man:Work-Afternoon (Binding My Time) / Doing It / Sleep / Nightmare (Cymbaline) / Daybreak
The Journey (Pt 1): Beginning (Green Is The Colour) / Beset By Creatures Of The Dark (Careful With That Axe, Eugene) / The Narrow Way Part 3 / The Pink Jungle (Pow R Toc H) Side 2:
The Journey (Pt 2) / The Labyrinths Of Auximines / Behold The Temple Of Light / The End Of The Beginning (Celestial Voices)
Encore: Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Filler:Main theme from More (23jan70)

* NATIONAL JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL (1)

8aug69     0.5TAPE(?gen)     8     Plumpton racecourt, UK

There are two version of this show floating around on tape (and I have them both). This one is the brief one of just about 40min but in very decent sound. The other one is more complete but also in pretty lousy sound.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline / The Journey (Pt 1)

* NATIONAL JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL (2)

8aug69     TAPE(?gen)     5.5     Plumpton racecourt, UK

I got part of this show in (far) better sound (See above) but this one is more complete.
Contains (among others) 'The Journey' (cut over two tape sides). There is some tape hiss but hardly any audience noise (gosh, people were quite in those days) At some parts (Interstellar) the balancing is bad. (The left channel has much lower sound level during Astronomy). Complete show.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline / The Journey (Pt 1)
Side 2:
The Journey (Pt 2) / Interstellar Overdrive

* THE JOURNEY THROUGH THE PAST

8aug69     CD(r)     8     Plumpton racecourt, UK

The ´Digital Floyd´ version of this recording.
 ´A Saucerful Of Secrets´ is from 17 Oct 1970, Pepperland Auditorium, San Rafael,

Tracks:
Side 1:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline / The Journey  /  A Saucerful Of Secrets

* THE MAN AND THE JOURNEY (AMSTERDAM)

17sep69     CD     7     Concertgebouw, Amsterdam

This is the Great Dane (Italian label) release. Although from dutch radio broadcast, the sound could have been better. It starts off pretty well but it decreases a little bit further to the end. Still a nice complete performance of 'Man & Journey'. There's is a dutch radio announcer during 'Sleep (intro)'. (Yes I can supply a translation :-) )

Tracks:
Daybreak / Work-Afternoon / Doing It / Sleep (Intro) / Sleep / Nightmare / Daybreak Pt.2 /  The Beginning / Beset By Creatures Of The Deep / The Narrow Way Pt. 3 / The Pink Jungle /  The Labyrinths Of Auximines / Behold The Temple Of Light / The End Of The Beginning

* THE MAN AND THE JOURNEY (AMSTERDAM, 1997 / 1998 RE-BROADCAST)

17sep69     TAPE / CR(R)     10     Concertgebouw, Amsterdam

On 26nov97 the VPRO radio decided to rebroadcast the first part of this show on dutch radio. This resulted in about half an hour in superb quality (far better then any other recording so far!) Pity they didn't let us hear the whole thing. At least...I thought. Then on 17feb98 the VPRO had the enormous wisdom of broadcasting the second part ,too!
So, here we have the almost complete 17sep69 show (only about 12min of the tea party and a bit of drum solo is missing) and it's all in superb quality!
I have a first generation tape (directly from the radio broadcast) but I also have a CD-R of this show and (for the completionists) I have the second part of this show also on CD(R) from the original 1970 broadcast.
There's an extra 'announcer' at the beginning  not previously broadcast. A girl talking about the 'concept' and telling the photographers to clear off after about 6 minutes because 'the people in the most expensive seats can't see anything and that's a pity' :-)
The second part contains the footsteps sequence used normally during Cymbaline. A dutch DJ explains during these footsteps that the surround effect in the Concertgebouw is hard to get on the radio.

Tracks:
Daybreak / Work-Afternoon / Doing It / Sleep (Intro) / Sleep / Nightmare
Side 2:
Daybreak Pt.2 /  The Beginning / Beset By Creatures Of The Deep / The Narrow Way Pt. 3 / The Pink Jungle /  The Labyrinths Of Auximines / Behold The Temple Of Light / The End Of The Beginning

* AMSTERDAM  69 (HVR)

17sep69     CD         9.5     Concertgebouw, Amsterdam

The HARVESTED release of this show.

* REVERSION OR REVALORISATION

11oct69     0.5TAPE(?gen)     7     Grugahall, Essen, GE

Not the complete CD, just three songs From the 'Songs And Days' festival.
On another tape (as filler) I also have 'Interstellar Overdrive' of this show (but see below for the MoLM release)

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene

* ESSEN (69)

11oct69     0.5TAPE(?gen)     7     Grugahall, Essen, GE

A more complete recording then mentioned above (but see below for the MoLM release)

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Interstellar Overdrive

* ESSEN - II (69)

11oct69     CD         8         Grugahall, Essen

This is the MoLM (Man of Leisure Music)  release.

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Interstellar Overdrive

* AMOUGIES POP & JAZZ FESTIVAL

25oct69     0.2TAPE(?gen)     5.5     Mont de L'enclus ,Belgium

Just two songs: 'Green Is The Colour' and 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene'. They also played 'Interstellar Overdrive' at this show on which Frank Zappa made some contributions as well. Unfortunately that song is not on this tape. The scream in 'Axe' is so loud at one point that you don't hear the instruments anymore, just Roger screaming.

Tracks:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene

* PORT TALBOT  (69)

6dec69     CD        7.5          Afan Lido Sports Centre, Port Talbot, Wales

This is a MoLM release. Interstellar Overdrive cuts out.

Tracks:
Interstellar Overdrive / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set the controls For the Heart Of The Sun

* CROYDON (1970)

18jan70     1.5TAPE(?gen)     5     Fair Field Hall, Croydon

Complete show. Contains rare songs as 'The Violent Sequence' and 'Main Theme' (from 'more'). Also 'The Amazing Pudding' (an early performance of 'Atom Heart Mother', cuts out), although there used to be a little doubt that it is from the same show. Unfortunately the sound isn't great, a few drops of signal and a little low level recording (but listenable). This show contains the debut of the long 'Embryo' version. 'Embryo' was only played once before (in a short version) at one of the Top Gear sessions.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / The Violent Sequence / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 2:
The Amazing Pudding / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Binding My Time
Side 3:
Embryo / Main Theme From More / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* WATERS GATE (1970)

23jan70     0.5TAPE(?gen)     6.5     Theatre Des Comedies, Paris

'Atom Heart Mother' is a very early version with a great drum solo. Further more there's a rare performance of 'The Violent Sequence' (which was the basis for 'Us And Them') and 'Binding My Time', also not played too often. Sound suffers from a fair amount of hiss. The rest of this performance I have on another tape, see below.

Tracks:
Atom Heart Mother / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / The Violent Sequence /  Binding My Time

* PARIS (1970)

23jan70     0.5TAPE(?gen)     6.5     Theatre Des Champs Elysees, Paris

Some songs, not on the Water's Gate album. The rest of this show can be found on the tape mentioned above.
On another tape, I also have a 3rd generation copy from an FM re-broadcast including 'Atom Heart Mother' and 'The Violent Sequence'.

Tracks:
Work-Afternoon / Doing It / Sleep / Main Theme From More / The Violent Sequence

* BROADCASTING FROM EUROPA 1 (70 / 71)

23jan70,12jun71     CD     8.5     Theatre Des Champs Elysees, Paris / Palais Des Sport, Lyon

A far better recording then I have had before. The 1970 show is taken from a re-broadcast in the 1995. The Lyon 1971 part is from an original FM recording. (and better then the AM recording that has been floating around).

Tracks:
23jan70: The Violent Sequence / the Amazing Pudding
12jun71: Set The controls For The Heart Of The Sun / cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother

* THE MAN LIVE IN PARIS (1970)

23jan70     CD     6.5     Theatre Des Champs Elysees, Paris

Another one from this show. Still not the best sound..

Tracks:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Us And Them (violent Sequence) / Binding My Time (afternoon) / The Amazing Pudding / Daybreak / Work / Doing It / Sleeping / Main Theme

* VIOLENCE IN BIRMINGHAM

11feb70     TAPE(?gen)     5.5     Town Hall, Birmingham UK

Not the complete show ('Set The Controls' is missing, but I have the complete show, too. From a different source). One of the strangest set lists ever. Contains 'The Violent Sequence', 'Main Theme' (from 'more') and the only known live recording of 'Sysyphys'. The sound isn't great though. It was recorded from (at points cracky) vinyl and there is a fair amount of hiss. But it is a historic recording.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Embryo / Main Theme From More / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Sysyphus
Side 2:
The Violent Sequence / Atom Heart Mother

* BIRMINGHAM (1970)

11feb70     1.5TAPE(?gen)     6     Town Hall, Birmingham UK

The same show as VIOLENCE IN BIRMINGHAM but this time complete (and from a different source). This one is slightly better in sound then the 'Violence In Birmingham' roio but this one also has a few speed problems. Filler are two songs from French television which I also have on video.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Embryo / Main Theme From More / Careful With That Axe, Eugene (edit) / Sysyphus
Side 2:
The Violent Sequence / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 3:
Atom Heart Mother
Filler: ORTF-TV 7sep68: Let There Be More Light / Flaming

* PROJECT BIRMINGHAM (1970)

11feb70     2CD     7.5     Town Hall, Birmingham UK

Superseding all previous tapes, this is the definite version to have of this show. More complete (hear ´Sysyphus´ being announced) and best sound. Of course, this had to be a HARVESTED release.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Embryo / Main Theme From More / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Sysyphus
CD 2:
The Violent Sequence / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Atom Heart Mother

* SIX OF ONE  (70)

28feb70     2CD     8     Leeds Refectory Hall, Leeds University

Only recently discovered recording in pretty good sound. This is a  HARVESTED release.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Embryo / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
CD 2:
Atom Heart Mother / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Interstellar Overdrive

* A TRICK OF THE LIGHT

12mar70     TAPE(1gen)     7.5  Audimax, Hamburg

This one is claimed to be from a San Antonio gig but that certainly is wrong. The recording is the same as the 'Big Pink' LP (see below) and therefor this one is from Hamburg. Sound is a little bit better then the Big Pink LP..

Tracks:
Side 1:
Interstellar Overdrive / Embryo / Atom Heart Mother
side 2:
A Saucerful Of Secrets
filler: BBC: Fat Old Sun
1973: Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Careful With That Axe, Eugene (cuts out)

* BIG PINK

12mar70     0.5TAPE(?gen)     7     Audimax, Hamburg

Clearly taken from vinyl as pops and crack can be heard. Nice version of 'Interstellar Overdrive'. Same show as can be found on  A TRICK OF THE LIGHT

Tracks:

Embryo / Interstellar Overdrive / Atom Heart Mother

* AUDIMAX, BERLIN (1970)

13mar70     1.5TAPE(?gen)     7     Audimax, West Berlin Technische Universitaet

Complete show. 'Cymbaline' has no middle section (e.g. footstep). On 'Set The Controls...' the vocals are particularly good.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Side 2:
The Embryo / Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 3:
Atom Heart Mother / Blues

* NUERENBERG(1970)

14mar70     1.5TAPE(?gen) / 2CD(r)     7     Meistersinger Halle, Nueremberg, G

Complete show. I had this transferred to CD.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / Saucerful Of Secrets
Side 2:
Embryo / Interstellar Overdrive
Side 3:
Set The Control For The Heart Of The Sun / Atom Heart Mother.

* HANNOVER  (70)

15mar70     2CD        7.5     Niedersachenhalle, Hannover

Not the complete show since the opening track (Astronomy Domine) is missing.
´Atom Heart Mother´ is announces as ´consequently´.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Embryo
CD 2:
Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For the Heart Of The Sun / Atom Heart Mother

* ATOM HEART MOO LIVE

20mar70         TAPE(3gen) / 2CD     8      Lund,SE

Except for The Embryo a complete show. Also (wrongly) listed as being from Birmingham Town Hall on 8 March 1970. Despite what has been said in the roio-database, I don't find this one all that bad. This makes me believe to think this is not the same version as described in the roio-database.  There are a few problems (drops of signal, minor speed problems) but overall it's a very enjoyable tape. Audience is very quite.
The performance is very good. A very good version of "Interstellar' and one of the first performances of 'Cymbaline'. But the highlight of this show is 'Careful with that axe, Eugene'. A real killer!
I've had this tape transferred to 2CD.
I have another version of this show (see below)

Tracks:
Side 1/CD 1:
Astronomy Domine / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Side 2/CD 2:
Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun /  Atom Heart Mother

* LUND (70)

20mar70          2CD     8      Lund,SE

Except for The Embryo a complete show. This is another version then the one mentioned above.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Astronomy Domine / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets
CD 2:
Interstellar Overdrive / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun /  Atom Heart Mother

* FILLMORE EAST (bogus?) (70)

9apr70          2CD     8.5/7.5        Fillmore East, New York (???)

This was claimed to be from the 9apr70, Fillmore East show, but  I have strong doubts as to the origin.
"Grandchesters Meadows", "Green Is the Colour" and "Axe" are live performances but sound like recorded in a studio. (However, not the same as the KQED versions). "Atom Heart Mother" is also live (some minor speed problems) and features Orchestra and Choir. The second disk is also live.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Grandhesters Meadows / Green Is The Colour  / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Atom Heart Mother (w/Orchestra & Choir)
CD 2:
Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* STONYBROOK (1970)

11apr70     TAPE(?gen)     7     State University Of New York, Stonybrook, Long Island, NY

There are a few people talking very close to the taper but fortunately only in between songs. The filler is a few minutes of Roger Waters for German television at the time of the release of 'Amused To Death'. You can hear Roger talk, but there are German overdubs.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother
Side 2:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Filler: Roger Water 'POP' interview, tele 5, Munich, 6nov92

* PORT CHESTER  (70)

22apr70     2CD        8    Capitol Theatre, Port Chester

Newly surfaced recording of a show for which not even the set list was known. This recording has been recorded "for personal use only" and the taper has kept it personal up until 2003. Apparently not knowing the interest for this show. Sound is pretty good with a bit of distortion as selected points.
It features a rare live performance of  "Grandchester Meadows" and "Atom Heart Mother" was still untitled. "Saucerful Of Secrets" cuts short (only 2,5 minutes)

Tracks:
CD 1:
Grandchester Meadows / Astronomy Domine / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother
CD 2:
The Embryo / Green Is the Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Saucerful Of Secrets (cuts)

* KQED (Video CDr)

29apr70     VideoCD (?gen,60min)     8.5         Studio, San Francisco

TV show. A very well known TV performances. This one is on Video CD (so only playable on your PC) but is a much better copy then my analogue video.

Tracks:
Atom Heart Mother / Cymbaline / Grandchester Meadows / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* INTERSTELLAR ENCORE

29apr70     2CD(r)    9     Filmore West, San Francisco

'Complete show, that is WITH the only recently surfaced Interstellar Overdrive which was played as the encore (hence the title)
Contrary to most other tapes (like the 'Live In Winterland' below) this one also contains some of the speeches spoken in between the songs. A rare treat is to hear Nick occasionally.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Grandchester Meadows / Astronomy Domine / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother / Embryo
CD 2:
Green Is the Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The sun / Saucerful Of Secrets / Interstellar Overdrive

* LIVE AT WINTERLAND

29apr70     TAPE(1gen)     9     Filmore West, San Francisco

'Set The Controls...' cuts in and 'Saucer' cuts out after about 7.5 minutes. Sound is really very good. Could well be a sound board recording.
Although it says 'live at winterland' this show was at the Filmore west.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Grandchester Meadows / Astronomy Domine / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother
side 2:
Embryo / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* SANTA MONICA (70)

1may70         TAPE(?gen)     7.5     Civic Center, Santa Monica

Complete show, only 'Grandchester Meadows' is cut from the beginning and 'Interstellar Overdrive' cuts out a bit to early.
Filler are a few songs from Roger's show at East Rutherford from 1987.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Grandchester Meadows / Astronomy Domine / Cymbaline / The Amazing Pudding
Side 2:
The Embryo / Set The Controls / Interstellar Overdrive

* OMAY YAD

1may70     0.5TAPE(1gen)     7.5     Civic Center, Santa Monica

Not the complete album, but the songs not on this tape I have on the total eclipse box. The live parts of this tape has for a long time been labelled as being from Chicago 27oct71. This is wrong! Check out Vernon's list.

Tracks:
Interstellar Overdrive / Crumbling Land / Embryo

* BATH (70) - I

27jun70     TAPE(?gen)      6      Bath Music Festival, Stepton, Mallet

Complete show from the famous festival where they premiered 'Atom Heart Mother' with choir and orchestra. Roger announces this a 'The Amazing Pudding'.
Unfortunately this is not a great recording. There are several speed problems (most notable at the beginning of the tape and pretty heavy during 'Atom Heart Mother').

Tracks:
Side 1:
Green Is the Colour - Careful With That Axe, Eugene / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 2:
The Amazing Pudding

* BATH (70) - II

27jun70     CD(r)    6      Bath Music Festival, Stepton, Mallet

Complete show from the famous festival where they premiered 'Atom Heart Mother' with choir and orchestra.

Complete show from the Kralingen Pop Festival formally named as Holland Pop Festival. (The night before Floyd played a historic gig in Bath at which Atom Heart Mother was premiered with the Choir And Orchestra.)
Sound of this tape is not top notch (but listenable). 'Interstellar Overdrive' cuts out a little bit early.
I also have a video of this festival. Among the other artists performing it also includes footage from 'Set The Controls' and 'Saucer'.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Atom Heart Mother
Side 2:
Set The Controls / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Interstellar Overdrive

Tracks:
Embryo / Atom Heart Mother

* SAN TROPEZ MUSIC FESTIVAL - SOUND CHECK (1970)

8aug70     0.5TAPE(4gen)      7.5     San Tropez, France

Same as above, but this includes 'Cymbaline' from the sound check. And the sound is a little bit better although there is some distortion notable.

Tracks:
Cymbaline / Embryo / Atom Heart Mother

* FETE DE L'HUMANITE (70)

12sep70     TAPE(?gen)    X    Fete de la Vincenees, Paris

Not the complete show for 'Set The Controls' cuts out early and 'Atom Heart Mother' ,which was played with brass and choir is missing.
This show was attended by half-a-million people which is a record still standing.

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Green Is The Colour - Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun (cuts)

* PHILADELPHIA (70)

26sep70       2CD(R)       9        Electric Factory, Philadelphia

Apparently a very rare recording, since even the set lists for this show were nowhere to be found.
The sound is just awesome. It's an audience recording but the quality matches that of Ummagumma!
"Set The Controls", which was the last song is missing (but see the item below) and I'm also a bit in doubt whether the running order is correct (usually, 'Green' follows 'Astronomy').
Filler are a few songs from the famous Pepperland recording (also great sound!

On another disc I also have 'Set The controls For The Heart Of The Sun' from this show. That one is in a little less good sound (but still very good!) and it cuts out a bit too early. (From what I'm told, that's all that was ever recorded). See below for another version of this show.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Astronomy Domine / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Interstellar Overdrive / Fat Old Sun
CD 2:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Filler: Pepperland, San Rafael, 17oct70: Atom Heart Mother / Embryo / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* PHILADELPHIA - REV. A (70)

26sep70       2CD(R)       9        Electric Factory, Philadelphia

Astronomy Domine / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets
CD 2:
Interstellar Overdrive / Fat Old Sun / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For the Heart Of The Sun

* NEW YORK (70)

27sep70    TAPE(?gen)    7.5    Fillmore East, New York

Not The complete show, for 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' is missing. 'Atom Heart Mother' at side one was played last in the show and cuts in a bit into the song.
Filler is a track from Dusseldorf, 1971

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Atom Heart Mother
Side 2:
Set The Controls / Fat Old Sun
Filler: Philips Halle, Dusseldorf, 4jun70 (6 or 7gen): Set The Controls

* PEPPERLAND (1970)

17oct70     1.5TAPE(?gen)     8.5     Pepperland, San Raphael

Complete show. 'Astronomy Domine' last for over 20 minutes, not because it is an extended version, but because they had to start over 4(!) times due to power losses. In between Dave and Roger play a little blues jam. 'Saucer' also had a power failure. 'Embryo' cuts out a little too early, but what's more annoying is that 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' also cuts out too early: Just before the scream.

Tracks:
side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline
Side 2:
Atom Heart Mother / Embryo / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 3:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* SANTA MONICA (oct70)

23oct70     1.5TAPE(?gen)      7.5     The Civic Center, Santa Monica

The complete show. I also have part of this from the LP 'Cymbaline' (see below).

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Green Is the Colour - Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun
Side 2:
Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Side 3:
Atom Heart Mother / Interstellar Overdrive

* CYMBALINE

23oct70     TAPE(2gen)     7.5     The Civic Center, Santa Monica

Not The complete show, but I have some more tracks of this show on another tape (see above).

Tracks:
Side 1:
Atom Heart Mother (Pt.1 & 2)
Side 2:
Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* AMSTERDAM (70)

6nov70     1.5TAPE(?gen)      5      Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, NL

A good show it was, but the sound is just awful. Very distant, drowned in hiss and way (WAY!)  too fast. 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' cuts out early.
I have the same show (same source) on a speed correct CDr as well (See below).

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline
side 2:
Atom Heart Mother / Embryo / Green Is The Colour - Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* AMSTERDAM (70)

6nov70     2CD      6      Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, NL

Same source as mentioned above (on tape) but this one is speed corrected and thus sounding a whole lot better!

Tracks:
CD 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother
CD 2:
Embryo / Green Is The Colour - Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* ROTTERDAM (Tape, 1970)

7nov70     1.5TAPE(?gen)     7     De Doelen, Rotterdam, NL

Complete Show except for 'Blues' (But I have that one on another tape as filler).
This same show I also have on CD (see below).

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline
Side 2:
Atom Heart Mother / Embryo
Side 3:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* LIVE IN ROTTERDAM (CD, 1970)

7nov70     2CD(?gen)     7.5     De Doelen, Rotterdam, NL

Complete Show. Same show as above but this time on CD in a little bit better sound quality.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother / Embryo
CD 2:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Blues

* COPENHAGEN (1970)

12nov70     1.5TAPE(?gen) / 2CD         8.5     Falkoner Teatret, Copenhagen

Complete show in great sound. Only the first part of 'Atom Heart Mother' has a few tape glitches and 'Atom Heart Mother' cuts over tape sides. The third tape side is in a bit lesser sound quality (like it's an older tape, a bit duller sound).
I had these tapes transferred to CD.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother (cut)
Side 2:
Atom Heart Mother (cont.) / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 3:
A Saucerful Of Secrets / Embryo

* AARHUS (1970)

13nov70     TAPE(4gen)     7.5    Vejlby Risskov Hallen, Aarhus, Denmark

Apart from 'Astronomy Domine' and 'Fat Old Sun'  a complete show but the in reverse order (i.e. Side 1 contains the second part, Side 2 the first and 'Blues' was the encore). 'Green Is The Colour' cuts in a little too late.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Side 2:
Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother / Embryo / Blues

* HAMBURG / HANNOVER  (?) (1970)

5,14, or 27nov70(?)     1.5TAPE(?gen)     7.5     Niedersachsen Halle, Hannover, or Ernst-Merck Halle, Hamburg

As for the date of this show .... Aaaaagh, that's complicated!.
Sometimes it's labelled as being from July 1970. According to Jon Rosenbergs wonderful book 'A Journey Through Time and Space' the most likely date is sometime in November 1970 and not in July. I have seen a date of 5nov but according to 'Live Tape Rewound' this should be 27nov. And to make things even more complicated,  Povey's and Russel's book 'In The Flesh' claim this tape is from 14nov70, Hamburg and they list for 27nov a cancelled show in Colongne.
The 14nov70, Ernst Merck Halle, Hamburg  now seems  to be the consensus.
Anyway, it's a complete Show. A very strange performance of 'Embryo' (about 26 minutes) starting off with steps resembling the intro to 'Time', then something similar to 'moonhead', contains some snippets from 'Several Species..', the screaming seagulls like in 'Echoes' and some more 'mocking around'.
I have the same show on CD (Digital Floyd Archives)

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 2:
Corrosion (The embryo suite) / Atom Heart Mother
Side 3:
Set The Control For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Filler: (26nov70, Kilerberghalle, Stuttgart): Fat Old Sun / Green Is The Colour

* HAMBURG (1970)

14nov70        2CD(r)            8    Ernst Merck Halle, Hamburg

As for the date and place of this show see comments above.
This CD set is from the Digital Floyd Archives

Tracks:
CD 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Corrosion (The embryo suite)
CD 2:
Atom Heart Mother / Set The Control For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* MONTREUX (70)

21nov1970     2TAPE(?gen)     8     Altes Casino, Montreux, CH

A complete show were it not that "Interstellar Overdrive" cuts out a bit to early. A few songs appear on "Smokin' Blues" (see below) but that one is a compilation. Unfortunately, there's quite some hiss and crackling noise (as if from vinyl or acetate) and at selected places speed problems.
There are several fillers on these tapes, among which a very interesting recording from 22jun69 (see also above).
The filler from Southampton was labelled as Leeds, 28jan but that was wrong (Btw, I have some more of that Southampton gig on another tape).

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline
Filler: Manchester, 22jun69: Grandchester Meadows / Works / Afternoon (all cut)
Side 2:
Atom Heart Mother / The Embryo / Green Is The Colour
Side 3:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Side 4:
Interstellar Overdrive (cuts out)
Filler: Southampton 23jan72 (was labelled as Leeds, 28jan) :Careful with That Axe, Eugene
Filler: East Rutherford, 11oct87: One Of These Days / Time / On The Run

* SMOKIN' BLUES - I

21(22?)nov1970     TAPE(2gen)         9         Altes Casino, Montreux, CH

Now this is a strange cookie. It claims to be from the music festival in Montreux in 1970 (not to be confused with the 1971 performance at the same festival). Although it must be a show from sometime in between September and December 1970.  Most sources list this as being from 21nov. However, the 'In The Flesh' book lists this as being from the 22nd.
Judging from the sound it could be that 'Embryo' and the first 'blues' are from a different show then the rest. At least 'Embryo' is different from the complete show I have (see above).
The Amazing Pudding (best of 1-6) had a picture of alledgy the acetate of this show to be released (but it never happened). On the labels of this acetate the same track listing was mentioned.
Floyd did play the Montreux festival at both 21 nov and 22nov 1970.
The sound is excellent although there is a little bit of distortion on the louder parts. It's a stereo recording most notable during the footsteps sequence in Cymbaline. During 'Cymbaline' an amplifier blows out, causing some noise for a minute or so. The 'Embryo' has a wailing part in it (as in 'Echoes'). The audience is very quite.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Atom Heart Mother
Side 2:
Cymbaline / Embryo / Just Another 12 bar Blues (uptempo) / Blues (slow)

* SMOKIN' BLUES - I I

21nov1970     2CD(r)     9     Altes Casino, Montreux, CH

For a description see the tape version I have listed above.
This CDr is a little bit better (less hiss). .

Tracks:
CD 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Atom Heart Mother
Side 2:
Cymbaline / Embryo / Just Another 12 bar Blues (uptempo) / Blues (slow)

* LUDWIGSHAVEN (1970)

25nov70         TAPE(?gen)         7.5     Ebert Halle, Ludwigshave, Germany

Almost complete Show. 'Saucer' cuts out and 'Blues' is missing.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother (cuts)
Side 2:
Atom Heart Mother (cont.) / Embryo / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 3:
A Saucerful Of Secrets (Cuts)

* WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HIM (1970)

25nov70         2CD        7.5     Ebert Halle, Ludwigshave, Germany

Almost complete Show. 'Saucer' cuts out and 'Blues' is missing. Same cookie as mentioned above, only this one has been improved a bit. Released by Digital Floyd Archives

Tracks:
Astronomy Domine / Fat Old Sun / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother / Embryo / Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

29nov70     1.5tape(6gen)       8.5 Circus Krone, Munich

Complete show is pretty good sound. The performance also is excellent!

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Atom Heart Mother / Fat Old Sun
Side 2:
Cymbaline / The Embryo / Green Is The Colour - Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 3:
Set The Controls / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* A PSYCHEDELIC NIGHT PART I

22dec70     CD     6.5     City Hall, Sheffield, UK

First part of concert. Known for the ONLY known recording (and possibly only performance) of 'Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast'. Sound isn't great, but listenable. The second part I have on tape but I also have a better sounding version of the complete show.

Tracks:
Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast / Embryo / Fat Old Sun / Careful With That Axe, Eugene

* A PSYCHEDELIC NIGHT PART II

22dec70     TAPE(1gen)     6.5     City Hall, Sheffield, UK

Second part of concert (The first part on CD, but I also have a better sounding version of the complete show.). Another strange set. 'Atom heart Mother' is with orchestra (and a long version, too) and is encored without the orchestra for about 2-3 minutes. 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' is interrupted just before 'Celestial Voices' due to a power breakdown, but resumes a bit later on.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Atom Heart Mother (With Orchestra) / Atom Heart Mother (Reprise Without Orchestra)
Side 2:
A Saucerful Of Secrets (Incl. Power Breakdown)

* SHEFFIELD (70)

22dec70     3CD         7.5         City Hall, Sheffield, UK

Complete show but in better sound then the ones mentioned above. In this one, you can also hear Roger announce "Alan´s Psychedelic Breakfast"..

Tracks:
CD 1:
Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast / The Embryo / Fat Old Sun
CD 2:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets (Incl. Power Breakdown)
CD 3:
Atom Heart Mother (With Orchestra) / Atom Heart Mother (Reprise Without Orchestra)

* CIRCUS DAYS

6feb71 / 74(?)     0.5TAPE(2gen)     7.5-8     USA / UK (?)

Contains a weird piece by the name 'Corrosion' which contains something very similar to 'Moonhead'. (It is part of the 'libest spacement monitor' from 6feb71 in the Royal Albert Hall). 'Raving And Drooling' and 'you've Gotta Be Crazy' are very early version (and despite what's been said in the roio-database, certainly NOT from 19nov74, Stoke!). 'Raving And Drooling' has a very strange middle piece with beeps and peeps in it. 'You've Gotta Be Crazy' fades out early. Source was vinyl.

Tracks:
Corrosion / Pink Blues / Raving And Drooling / You've Gotta Be Crazy

* PICTURES OF PINK FLOYD ( VOL 1 & 2)

6feb71 / 26feb71     TAPE(2gen)     8     Royal Albert Hall, London / Stadhalle, Offenbach, Germany

Taken from vinyl. 'Libest Spacement Monitor' is sometimes called 'Corrosion' and is kinda of a prelude to 'Embryo'. Don't ask me, I didn't make up the titles. 'A variation of Atom Heart Mother' sure has some variation in it: It has some speed problems.
First two songs are from London, rest alledgy is from Offenbach.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Libest Spacement Monitor - Embryo / Fat Old Sun / Second Cud By McGlib (Blues) / Atom Heart Mother (short version)
Side 2:
Green is The Colour (inside) / A Saucerful Of Secrets / A Variation of Atom Heart Mother (instrumental)

* COLCHESTER

12feb71     1.5TAPE(4gen) / 2CDr      8      University Of Essex, Colchester, UK

Complete show. Not too bad sound. 'Atom Heart Mother' is at the last tape side but in fact was the first song played at the show.
I had these tapes transferred to CDr.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Embryo / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Astronomy Domine / Cymbaline
Side 2:
Set the Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets
Side 3:
Atom Heart Mother

* HAMPSHIRE

13feb71     TAPE(?gen)     7      Farnborough, Hampshire, UK

Complete show.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Atom Heart Mother / Embryo / Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 2:
Cymbaline / Astronomy Domine / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* HAMPSHIRE

13feb71     2CD(r)        7      Farnborough, Hampshire, UK

Complete show.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Atom Heart Mother / The Embryo / Careful With that Axe, Eugene
CD 2:
Cymbaline / Astronomy Domine / Set The Controls For  The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* HAMBURGER

25feb71     1.5TAPE(2gen)     8     Musik Halle, Hamburg,GE

Complete show. Sides 1 and 2 are 2nd generation from vinyl, Side 3 is unknown gen. This show is marked as having the one of the best versions of 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene'. 'Cymbaline' cuts in a little too late. 'Atom Heart Mother' is with orchestra and choir.
This one I also have on CD (M-502, taken from vinyl. See below)

Tracks:
Side 1:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline
Side 2: Embryo / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 3:
A Saucerful Of Secrets / Atom Heart Mother

* M-502

25feb71     1.5TAPE(2gen)     8     Musik Halle, Hamburg,GE

Complete show. Atom Heart Mother is with orchestra and this is one of the best versions of Careful With That Axe, Eugene.  This one is mastered from vinyl, so pops and cracks are notable.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Green Is The Colour / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / Embryo / Set The Controls For The heart Of The Sun
CD 2:
A Saucerful Of Secrets / Atom Heart Mother

* LIVE IN ROTTERDAM (1971)

3apr71     0.5TAPE(2gen)     8         Oude Ahoy Hallen, Rotterdam

Source was (a bit scratchy) vinyl. Not the complete show. Saucer cuts out (or it may be the band just stop playing) just before 'Celestial Voices' but it is one the very best versions ever! There's even a little bit of pictish ranting from Roger in it.

Tracks:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* ROTTERDAM (71)

3apr71     2TAPE(3gen) / 2CD(r)     8      Oude Ahoy Hallen, Rotterdam

Does the above mention 'live in Rotterdam' tape feature part of this show, this one is complete, but the running order is a bit changed. 'Embryo' was the encore, but on this tape is put after 'A Saucerful Of Secrets'.
At times there's a bit of what sounds like FM-radio disturbance (or a not grounded microphone). Don't know where this came from or what it is. It's notable but not really disturbing either. (alledgy this tape is a 3rd generation from the original tape).
These tapes I have transferred to 2 CDr´s.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Astronomy Domine / Careful with that Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun
Side 2:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline
Side 3:
A Saucerful Of Secrets / The Embryo
Side 4:
Atom Heart Mother

* GARDEN PARTY (71)

15may71     TAPE(?gen)     6     Crystal Palace, London

Show is famous for the legend that all the fish in the lake were killed due to the very high volume at which the Floyd played. During the show a giant Octopus strolled through the audience. This was the second time 'Echoes' was performed. 'Echoes' includes alternative lyrics and there is some vocal 'humming' at the end which I didn't hear ever again in later recordings. Some audience members are talking pretty close (and clear) to the taper (mostly whining about the rain). 'Fat Old Sun' cuts out a few seconds too early.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Atom Heart Mother / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun
Side 2:
Echoes / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Embryo

* ECHOES OF A DISTANT TIME (71)

15may71     2CD        6     Crystal Palace, London

Same show as above with only slightly better sound..

Tracks:
CD 1:
Atom Heart Mother / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun
CD 2:
Echoes / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Embryo

* STIRLING

18may71     TAPE(?gen)       5      Strathcycle University, Sterling

Complete Show. Sound is rather muffeld and the music is drowned in hiss.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Atom Heart Mother / Set The Controls / Fat Old Sun
Side 2:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Echoes / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* DUSSELDORF

4jun71     TAPE(?gen)   7     Phillipshalle, Dusseldorf, GE

Strange tape. Includes 'echoes' with alternative lyrics but cuts out some 10-15 seconds too early. In between 'Cymbaline' and 'Embryo' there is a small bit of  'A Saucerful Of Secrets' but that cuts out.
The sound is listenable but at points there's some distortion and some small cuts. Besides that, it runs a little bit too fast.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Atom Heart Mother / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun
Side 2:
Cymbaline / The Embryo / Echoes

* MAUERSPECHTE

5jun71     2CD   7     Sportpalast, Berlin, GE

Famous cookie. Includes 'echoes' with alternative lyrics.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun / Embryo / Echoes
CD 2:
Set The Controls / Cymbaline / Astronomy Domine / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Pink Blues

* VIERUNDZWANZIG TEILE VON NICHTS 71)

5jun71     2CD   8     Sportpalast, Berlin, GE

From the same source as the Mauerspechte above, but this one is a bit more complete and has been remasterd by the HARVESTED team.

Tracks:
CD 1:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun / Embryo / Echoes
CD 2:
Set The Controls / Cymbaline / Astronomy Domine / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Blues

* LYON (1971)

12jun71     0.5TAPE(?gen)     7     Palais Des Sport, Lyon, France

From french radio broadcast. There's a french announcer at the beginning and During the footsteps in 'Cymbaline'. 'Atom Heart Mother' is with choir and orchestra, but is also cut short.

Tracks:
Set the Controls For The Heart of The Sun / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother

* BRESCIA (1971)

19jun71     1.5TAPE(1gen)     7     Palazzo Della Mostra,Brescia, Italy

Taken from vinyl. A little distant recording. 'Echoes' cuts in after the first verses (which is a pity, because it would probably have different lyrics). 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' cuts out early. There is some hiss and the running order of the show has been changed (probably to make it fit on the double album).

Tracks:
Side 1:
Echoes / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline / Embryo
Side 2:
A Saucerful Of Secrets / Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 3:
Atom Heart Mother / Fat Old Sun

* LIVE IN ROME, PALEUR (1971)

20jun71     2CD     7.5     Paleur, Rome

It sounds a bit like it's been recorded from a distance and it also does contain some hiss. This (complete) show however is very good with all very loooong songs. A very good performance of 'echoes' with alternative lyrics and an also very nice 'Atom Heart Mother'. On 'Set The Controls...' there's a bit of 'print through' in the right channel (obviously they used an 'old' tape and the previous recording wasn't entirely erased). . Last performance of 'Astronomy Domine' until it's resurrection in 1994

Track:
Disk 1:
Atom Heart Mother / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun / Embryo
Disk 2:
Echoes / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets /  Astronomy Domine

* EARLY TOUR '70-'71 (LP)

26jun71     LP     8     Amsterdamse Bos, Amsterdam

Audience recording from a free open air show (Amstel Rock Festival). For those who care: My mother found me to young to go, but my older brother was at this show, but didn't like it :-(. Having heard this album, I think he was wrong. Embryo has children's sound and Echoes-like wailing. Cymbaline is without the footsteps sequence but has some woman breathing instead. There's also a bit of pictish ranting.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / Embryo
Side 2:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* EARLY TOUR '70-'71 (CD-R)

26jun71     CD-R     8     Amsterdamse Bos, Amsterdam

Audience recording from a free open air show (Amstel Rock Festival). From the origin as the LP mentioned above, only this one alledgy is taken from the master tape. This recording contains a bit longer announcement at the beginning of the show and a pretty long announcement at the end (neither which are found on the LP).

Tracks:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / Embryo / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* OSSIACH - I (1971)

1jul71     TAPE(6gen)     7     Stiftshof, Ossiach, Austria

Complete show from the Ossiach Festival. The show starts with a lot of tuning. 'Echoes' is here announced as 'The Return Of The Sons Of Nothing' and contains the alternative lyrics. 'Set The Controls..' cuts a little bit over tape sides. 'Atom Heart Mother' is with choir and orchestra.
I have the same show on CD-r (See below)

Tracks:
Side 1:
Return Of The Son Of Nothing / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun (cuts)
Side 2:
Set The Controls For the Heart Of The Sun (cont.) / Atom Heart Mother

* OSSIACH - II (1971)

1jul71     CD(R)     7  Stiftshof, Ossiach, Austria

Complete show from the Ossiach Festival. 'Echoes' contains the alternative lyrics. 'Atom Heart Mother' is with choir and orchestra.

Tracks:
Return Of The Son Of Nothing / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Atom Heart Mother

* APHRODITE

6 / 7(?)aug71     0.5TAPE(1gen)     8.5     Open Air Festival, Hakone, Japan

The date of this recording is not sure. Most likely it's from 7aug71. 'Echoes' has been severely cut. It starts at the beginning of the second verse, which is really a pity because it should have the alternative lyrics. Further more the middle part has also been edited. 'Cymbaline' cuts out a little early and contains no middle section (e.g. the footsteps). I can't be sure but I believe it wasn't played. (Couldn't hear an edit). Sound is pretty decent. It seems the source for this CD was vinyl because a few minor pops and clicks can be heard.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Atom Heart Mother / Green Is The Colour- Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 2:
Echoes / Cymbaline

* OSAKA(1971)

Cymbaline / A Saucerful Of Secrets (cuts)

* LONG TIME GONE

18sep71     CD     8     Altes Casino, Montreux, Switserland

Same as 'Live In Montreux' 2CD set, only 'Echoes' and 'Set The Control For the Heart of The Sun' is missing (but I have those on tape). 'Atom Heart Mother' is with 'L'Orchestra Symphonique de Vienne'. Great show in pretty decent (although mono) sound quality. There is however a little (not to bad) speed problem.

Tracks:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / Atom Heart Mother / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* LIVE IN MONTREUX (1971)

18sep71     TAPE(?gen)     8     Altes Casino,Montreux Switzerland

* FALKONER TEATRET (1971)

23sep71     TAPE(1gen)     7.5     Falkoner Teatret, Copenhagen, DK

Almost complete show (only 'Atom Heart Mother' is missing). Begins with about 5 minutes of tuning. Ends with the famous 'blues'. Date is not sure. There were three dates Floyd played in Copenhagen and this show is from one of them. (23sep is the best guess).

Tracks:
Side 1:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline
Side 2:
Echoes / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Pink Blues

* MEDDLER

30sep71     CD(R)      9.5     BBC

The famous (stereo) version of Floyd at the beeb. One of the best early Floyd stuff I have. Recommended!

Tracks:
Fat Old Sun / One Of These Days / Echoes / Embryo / Blues

* ONE OF THESE DAYS (BBC)

30sep71     0.5TAPE(1gen)     9.5     BBC.

Great versions of (extended) 'Fat Old Sun', 'One Of These Days' and 'Echoes' recorded in a studio with audience. Esp. 'One Of These Days is different, cause the one line lyric is at the end, not in the middle of the song. I like this one a lot!

Tracks:
Fat Old Sun / One Of These Days / Echoes

* ONE OF THESE DAYS (POMPEII)

4oct71     TAPE(?gen)     8.5     Pompeii Amphi theatre

This is from the movie shot in the old ruins of Pompeii. Great live performance with no audience in good quality. This tape misses the DarkSideOfTheMoon parts however.

Side 2:
One Of These Days / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Mademoiselle Knobs / Echoes pt.2

Complete show although 'Atom Heart Mother' cuts out a little early, the beginning of 'Cymbaline' is missing and the last few minutes of 'A Saucerful Of Secrets' is missing. Sound is not bad but there is a fair amount of hiss.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 2:
Atom Heart Mother / Echoes
Side 3:
Cymbaline / One Of These Days / A Saucerful Of Secrets / Blues

* SANTA MONICA (71)

16oct71     1.5TAPE(?gen)     7     Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica

Apparently a complete show, but the running order has been changed. The playing however is beautiful! A very long version of 'Echoes', almost 30 minutes!

Tracks:
Side 1:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Fat Old Sun / The Embryo
Side 2:
Cymbaline / Blues / Echoes
Side 3:
A Saucerful Of Secrets / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Atom Heart Mother

* THE HEART OF THE SUN

17oct71     TAPE(1gen)     8.5     Golden Hall, San Diego

Tracks:

Side 2:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Cymbaline / Blues

CD 2:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline / Echoes / Saucerful Of Secrets

* ANN ARBOR (1971)

28oct71     1.5TAPE(?gen)     6     Hill Auditorium, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Complete Show. Good jamming on 'Embryo'. During 'Atom Heart Mother' and the end of 'Echoes' there are some severe speed problems and at times the left channel has a few drops. In between 'One Of These Days' and 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' there is some 'water' sound from which I cannot determine whether is was at the actual performance or not. 'Fat Old Sun' cuts out a little early.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Embryo / Fat Old sun / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 2:
Atom Heart Mother / One Of These Days / Careful with That Axe, Eugene / Cymbaline (cuts)

31oct71     TAPE(3gen) / 2CD(r)     8      University Of Toledo, Toledo

* THE RETURN OF THE SONS OF NOTHING

16nov71     2CD     8     Listener Auditorium, Washington DC

Complete show. There are some drops of signal in the left channel and some 'leaps' and a few strange edits, but overall it is a great sounding show and excellent performance f.e. an awesome version of 'One Of These Days'. A real 'must have'!

Tracks:
Disk 1;
Embryo / Fat Old Sun / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun / Atom Heart Mother

Not the complete show. The song 'Eclipse' still had no lyrics (well, actually it was more the ending sequence of 'Brain Damage').

This tape is transferred to CDr

* RAINBOW THEATRE (19feb72)

19feb72     2CD(r)      7         Rainbow Theatre, London

Complete show but 'Breathe' cuts in a bit to late, 'Saucers' cuts out early.

Tracks:
CD 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon
CD 2:
One Of These Days / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Echoes / A Saucerful Of Secrets

* DARK SIDE OF THE SKY

20feb72     CD     9     Rainbow Theatre, London / BBC

'Early' Dark Side Of The Moon. This was the press premier of Dark- Side, then called 'Eclipsed, a piece for assorted lunatics'. 'Eclipse' fades out a little early. The non-DarkSideOfTheMoon part of this show, I have on tape.
There are also two BBC recordings ('If' and 'Atom Heart Mother') from 16 / 9 / 70 on this disc.

Tracks:
DarkSideOfTheMoon / Atom Heart Mother / If

* TIME and BEST OF TOUR 72

20feb72     CD     9     Rainbow Theatre, London

Tracks:
DarkSideOfTheMoon

* RAINBOW THEATRE (1972)

20feb72     TAPE(?gen)     7     Rainbow Theatre, London

The non-DarkSideOfTheMoon part of the show. Sound is pretty (and annoyingly) hissy. Filler is a song claimed to be from Bristol, 12dec72 but that is wrong. Could be from either the 13dec74 or 14dec74 gig, but could be just as well any other date / venue.

Tracks:
Side 1:
One Of These Days / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Side 2:
Echoes
Filler: You've Gotta Be Crazy

* TAIIKUKAN, TOKYO (1972)

6mar72     2TAPE(3gen) / 2CDr    8.5      TAiikukan, Tokyo, Japan

An early 'Dark Side Of The Moon' show with the 'On The Run' Jam, the preacher tapes on 'Great Gig In The Sky'. This is the same show as the 'Live In Tokyo' roio, but these tapes are not from the CD. I got this tape as 3gen from the original master.
The 'announcement' is by Mr. Goro Itoi, a famous japanese DJ from that time.  He can clearly be heard naming the songs being played at the show. The performance  is very good. All in very good sound. The 'Celestial Voices' part in 'Saucer'  is without vocals. Roger starts singing 'The Lunatic is on the Gras' a little  too soon, but corrects himself.
These tapes are transferred to 2 CDr´s

Tracks:
Side 1:
Dark Side Of The Moon / announcement
Side 2:
One Of These Days / Careful With That Axe, Eugene

Sound is not bad but the vocals are a bit on the background, like it was  taped from a distance. 'Speak To Me' already let's you hear some snippets  of the preacher tapes and the cash register.
These tapes are transferred to 2 CDr´s

Tracks:
Side 1:
Dark Side Of The Moon
Side 2:

Tracks:
Side 1:
Dark Side Of The Moon
Side 2:
One Of These Days / Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 3:

CD 2:
One Of These Days / Careful With That Axe, Eugene / Set The Controls / Echoes

* COLUMBIA (1972)

16apr72     TAPE(?gen)     7.5     Township Auditorium, Columbia, SC

I'm not sure if this is the complete show. Some sources say this was all, others claim that 'Echoes' was played as an encore. However,  far as I know this tape contains all that ever surfaced on tape.
DarkSideOfTheMoon is the early version with the jams and the morality sequence, unfortunately 'Brain Damage' cuts out to early (and therefore 'eclipse' is missing).

Tracks:
Side 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon
Side 2:
One Of These Days / Careful with That Axe, Eugene / Atom Heart Mother

* PITTSBURG (1972)

20apr72     TAPE(?gen)     7.5     Syria Mosque Theatre, Pittsburg

Complete show I suspect however, 'Brain Damage' cuts out after only two line and 'Echoes' cuts out before the last verse.
'Breath (reprise)' has an unusual long intro, sounds like Dave forgot to start singing.

Tracks:

Tracks:

It's not the complete show, for 'Set The Controls' is missing.
I had this transferred to 2CD.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Dark Side Of The Moon
Side 2:
One Of These Days  /  Careful With That Axe, Eugene  /  Echoes

* DUSSELDORF (72)

14nov72     1.5TAPE(?gen)    7     Phillipshalle, Dusseldorf, G

Complete show but 'echoes' cuts over tape sides. The (dutch) tapers can be heard quite clearly at times and (if you understand dutch) are quite hilarious at times.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Speak To Me  /  Breathe  /  On The Run  /  Time  /  Breathe (reprise)  /  The Great Gig In The Sky  /  Money  /  Us And Them  /  Any Colour You Like  /  Brain Damage

* BOEBLINGEN (1972)

15nov72     TAPE(?gen)     8     Boeblingen, Germany

Except for 'Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun' a complete show. And What a Show is was! Good Jamming on 'On The Run' and 'Any Colour You Like'. This version of 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' is by far the best I ever heard. 'Echoes' cuts in a little after the pings and cuts out a little too early, too. This is one of my favourite shows.
On another tape (as filler) I also have 'Set The Control...' from this show.
And (even better) I also have the complete show on CD-r.

Tracks:
Side 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon
Side 2:
Careful with That Axe, Eugene  /  Echoes  /  One Of These Days

* JEMIG DE PEMIG   (BOEBLINGEN 1972)

15nov72     2CD(r)     8  /  7     Boeblingen, Germany

The complete show this time. The first disk is quite good in sound but the second one a bit less. Set The Controls is clearly an even lower generation copy. Best ever version of ´Careful With That Axe, Eugene´ (the 9dec72 Zurich version is a good second!)

Tracks:
CD 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon
Filler: Roger Waters: Lost Boys Calling
CD 2:
One Of These Days  /  Careful with That Axe, Eugene  /  echoes / Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* GRANNY TAKES A TRIP

15nov72     TAPE(1gen)     4.5-7.5     Boeblingen, Germany  /  studio

This one contains also some studio recordings. Weird version of 'One Of These Days' (demo or fraud?) with DJ talking over the music. Unfortunately the tape is recorded at to low sound level so there is a lot of hiss. esp. 'One Of These Days' is in poor condition. (But I have a better version on the 'rarities' tapes). 'Echoes' is announced by Roger as 'Looking Thru The Knothole in Granny's Wooden leg' (from Boeblingen). The second 'Interstellar' is from the San Francisco movie. The 'Zabriski Announcement' is really a few lines of 'Flaming'.

Tracks:
Side 1:
One Of These Days  /  Looking Through The Knothole In Granny's Wooden Leg (Echoes)
Side 2:
Interstellar Overdrive (including Zabriski Announcement)  /  Interstellar Overdrive  /  It Would Be So Nice  /  Remember A Day

* FRANKFURT-I (1972)

16nov72     1.5TAPE(?gen)     7        Festhalle, Frankfurt

Complete show. Roger announces 'Echoes' as 'The March Of The Damnbusters')

Tracks:
Side 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon
Side 2:
One Of These Days  /  Careful With That Axe, Eugene  /  Echoes
Side 3:
Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun.

* FRANKFURT -II(1972)

17nov72      1.5TAPE(?gen)     8     Festhalle, Franfurt, Germany

Complete show and a good performance!

Tracks:
Side 1:
Speak To Me  /  Breathe  /  On The Run  /  Time  /  Breathe (reprise)  /  The Great Gig in The Sky  /  Money  /  Us And Them  /   Any Colour You Like
Side 2:
Brain Damage  /  Eclipse  /  One Of These Days  /  Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 3:
Echoes  /  Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun

* ANY COLOUR YOUR LIKE (1972)

29nov72     TAPE(1gen)     7     Palais Des Sports, Poitier, F

Almost complete show only 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' is missing. Speed is too fast, but the Dark Side part I have in a speed corrected version as well (see below)

Tracks:
Side 1:
Dark Side Of The Moon
Side 2:
Echoes  /  One Of These Days

* POITIER ( 72)

29nov72     CD(r)     7.5     Palais Des Sports, Poitier, F

DarkSideOfTheMoon part only, but speed corrected.. (on Gilmour 2002 disk)

Tracks:
Dark Side Of The Moon

* ST.OUEN (1972)

1dec72     TAPE(?gen)     6.5     Palais des Sport, St. Ouen, F

This show was broadcast on RTL-radio (sounds like an AM-recording). The tape is (almost) complete but 'DarkSideOfTheMoon..' starts off in 'On The Run'. 'one of these days' and 'Echoes' also cut in a little. Possibly this was the first time 'Childhoods End' was performed.

Tracks:
side 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon  /  One Of These Days
side 2:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene  /  Blues  /  Echoes  /  Childhoods End

* ZURICH (72)

9dec72     TAPE(?gen)     7.5    Hallenstadion, Zurich

Source was vinyl. Same show as ´Childhood´s Beginning´ (see below) only ´Childhoods End´ is missing on this one. Running order is probably wrong as DarkSideOfTheMoon was the first set and the second set should be ´One Of These Days´, Axe, Echoes. There's some pictisch ranting on ´Careful With That Axe, Eugene´ with Roger shouting ´Speak To Me! Speak To Me!´.

Side 1:
Echoes  /  One Of These Days  /  Careful With That Axe, Eugene
Side 2:
DarkSideOfTheMoon

* CHILDHOOD´S BEGINNING (72)

9dec72     2CD        8.5        Hallenstadion, Zurich

Complete show including ´Childhood´s End´. I'm not quite sure if Childhood´s End was actually played at the end, but it seems likely. There's some pictisch ranting on ´Careful With That Axe, Eugene´.

Tracks:
Disc 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon  /  One Of These Days
Disc 2:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene  /  Echoes  /  Childhood´s End

* IN A NEUTRAL LAND (72)

9dec72     2CD        8.5        Hallenstadion, Zurich

Some show as above, but this one claims to be dehissed and speed corrected.

Tracks:
Disc 1:
DarkSideOfTheMoon  /  One Of These Days
Disc 2:
Careful With That Axe, Eugene  /  Echoes  /  Childhood´s End

* LYON (1972)

10dec72     1.5TAPE(?gen)     7        Palais des Sports, Lyon

Complete show. 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' features some pictish ranting.
'Brain Damage' and 'Echoes' both cut over tape sides.

Tracks:
Side 1:
Speak To Me  /  Breathe  /  On The Run  /  Time  /  Breathe (reprise)  /  The Great Gig In The Sky  /  Money  /  Us And Them  /  Any Colour You Like  /  Brain Damage (cuts)
Side 2:
Brain Damage  /  Eclipse  /  One Of These Days  /  Careful With That Axe, Eugene.  /  Echoes (cuts)
Side 3:
Echoes (cont.)
